Finance Professional Opportunity
Shore One is looking for a dynamic finance professional with 5-10 years of P&C insurance experience to manage its accounting/finance organization. The ideal candidate:
- A pragmatic "hands on" finance/accounting professional who possesses strong GAAP accounting skills (and familiarity with Statutory Accounting Principles "SAP") and displays sound problem solving abilities
- Has first-hand experience with Oracle's Net Suite Financial Solutions
- Familiarity with Workday
- An effective project & time manager who excels in working in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
- An effective communicator who shares thoughts, suggestions & observations freely and exhibits strong interpersonal skills
- An action oriented leader who proactively implements process improvements in a measured way. Leads by example
- An effective manager of multiple third party relationships (auditors, BPO teams)
- A goal driven professional who has the ambition and technical & interpersonal skill to ascend to the CFO position over time
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Working closely with CFO on execution of the day to day Finance function
- Developing in partnership with the CFO, the annual & multi-year financial plan for the Shore One Group
- Managing/executing monthly GAAP book closes & related internal controls (design & effectiveness) for all Shore One companies and monthly submissions into parent company
- Delivering monthly financial analysis against annual budgets & plans. Identifying performance gaps and raising solutions to close gaps
- Managing all financial systems (Net Suite)
- Managing annual external audit procedures and relationships
- Standardizing monthly control processes for all Shore One companies
- Developing and maintaining "standard operating procedures" (SOPs) for all monthly, quarterly & annual accounting and finance activities
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting, as needed
Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities include:
- Sound understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Designing and maintaining systems of internal control around financial reporting
- Managing/involved with US GAAP audit procedures
- Sound working knowledge of Oracle's Net Suite platform
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to details
- May be required to work overtime as necessary
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Supervisory responsibilities include managing Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) organizations.
Education and/or experience:
Bachelors degree from respected university, CPA preferred but not required, 5-7 years working with P&C insurance companies, MGAs or other related business.

The base salary range for this position is $108,000 to $140,000.
The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
