Travel Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Eastern MA

Opportunity

As a Travel RT in Eastern Massachusetts, you’ll combine radiology expertise with direct patient care, rotating among multiple clinic sites and performing a variety of clinical and diagnostic duties. You will receive competitive hourly pay and a monthly travel stipend.

Responsibilities
  • Radiologic Procedures & Imaging:
    • Prepare and perform radiologic procedures following ConvenientMD and ARRT protocols.
    • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable equipment; ensure radiation safety and comply with ALARA principles.
    • Position patients for optimal imaging and document studies in EMR and PACS.
    • Collaborate with radiologists for study interpretation, manage discrepancies, and coordinate outside imaging requests.
  • Clinical Support:
    • Efficiently switch between RT and Medical Assistant duties.
    • Conduct patient intake, vitals, medical history, and observational examination.
    • Provide laboratory and diagnostic testing, screenings, and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses as ordered.
    • Perform additional testing such as vision, hearing, drug screening, pulmonary function testing, and point‑of‑care diagnostics (strep, flu, RSV, glucose, urinalysis).
    • Maintain clean, sterile exam rooms and instruments.
  • Patient Interaction:
  • Support clinical care standards by delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in alignment with HIPAA and ConvenientMD protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance studies to uphold clinical standards.
  • Manage radiology supply inventory and submit orders as needed.
  • Ensure medical equipment is operational through preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Support onboarding and training for new clinic team members; foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications
  • Flexibility: Willingness to cover multiple clinic locations and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Education, Licensure &

    Certifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • State license and ARRT certification required.
    • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes not accepted.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in radiology and patient care, preferably in urgent care or emergency settings.
  • Compassionate & patient‑focused: Demonstrates kindness and creates a sense of belonging.
  • Proactive & confident communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player: Enjoys collaboration within a dynamic team.
  • Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and multiple clinical systems.
  • Self‑motivated: Ability to work independently, drive results, and improve processes.
  • Trustworthy: Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA.
Pay Transparency

Hourly pay range: $31.62 – $50.40 USD, with final compensation determined after interview. Additional incentives may be available for experienced RTs who travel to multiple locations.
