Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant in an OB/GYN department, supporting clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests.
Responsibilities include:- Ensuring smooth patient flow and greeting patients
- Preparing patients for exams, measuring vital signs, and assisting with clinical procedures
- Updating electronic medical records with accurate patient information and test results
- Recommending and performing point-of-care testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose)
- Reconciling medications and addressing minor patient concerns
- Providing patient education regarding exam preparations
- High school diploma or Medical Assistant Certification
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 3+ years clinical experience, including 1+ years as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency with computers, EMR systems, and reagent knowledge
- Understanding testing procedures and result factors
- Associate degree or medical assistant certification program graduate
- ACLS certification may be required based on specialty
