The Inpatient Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

This is a Per Diem position for coverage as needed.

Pay: $32.20-$52.00/hour depending on education and experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical social work and case management consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for assigned cases
  • Manage cases on both the inpatient eating disorder unit and inpatient psychiatric unit.
  • Conduct individual, group and family therapy.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
  • Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and profession manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum.
  • Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.
Qualifications Education
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting
Licensure/Certification
  • LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred or license-eligible
  • CPR certification, required
Knowledge
  • Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age specific growth and development, behavior management and crisis management
Required competencies
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
  • Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
