Are you a seasoned HR professional with a comprehensive understanding of human resources programs, policies, and practices? We are seeking an HR Business Partner who will act as a trusted advisor and resource to business leaders and employees. This role will involve a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, and compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities- Implements and administers human resources programs, policies, and practices as a standalone resource or in a shared-services HR model.
- Responds to employee and manager inquiries, questions, and complaints; provides information, guidance and direction on HR programs, processes, and procedures including harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
- Monitors issues and complaints; provides feedback on HR policy and programs to area specialists and management.
- Performs HR related duties for a variety of functional areas including workforce planning, talent management and development (high-potential and key successors) / training, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement (culture, recognition, and retention), compensation and benefits, HR policies and procedures, relocation, labor relations, and equal employment.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and increase employee engagement and retention.
- Assists in the administration, development and implementation of department programs, policies, and practices.
- Partners with management and employees to communicate, interpret, and advise various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Conducts research and evaluates data in support of assigned goals and makes recommendation for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Conducts employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Provides support and guidance as a trusted advisor and resource to business leaders and employees.
- May be involved in Labor Relations and Negotiations.
- Travel may be required.
- Recognizes opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Seasoned, experienced professional with comprehensive understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Can work on problems of broad scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Highly proficient ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues; involving conflict and mediation.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates proficient judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Significantly networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, effective listening.
- Works with minimal instruction on day‑to‑day work, moderate instructions on new assignments.
- Advanced organization and interpersonal skills.
- Shows strong initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgement, and professionally executes projects with little direction.
- Proficient investigative and mediation skills.
- Strong ability to engage, inspire, and influence people at all levels.
- Professional HR Certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required. Plus 5 years of Human Resources experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Location & Other RequirementsThis position will be onsite in Dedham, MA for a minimum 3 days/week. May require a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
