The Facility Maintenance Technician I for the Walden Behavioral Care System is responsible for performing basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. The Facility Maintenance Technician I will assist with miscellaneous facility projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility, and assist trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs as needed.
This role follows standard operating procedures for all installations, inspections, and repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
Position type: Full time – Monday‑Friday, night shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am).
Pay: $20–$23/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities- Execute on the full scope of facility maintenance for all property types within the assigned territory, including self‑performance of facility maintenance tasks and execution of preventive maintenance programs and initiatives.
- Assist in the completion of routine inspections and audits to track the physical condition of the locations.
- Monitor and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients and team, including scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with location management to collaboratively address maintenance needs, security issues, and emergency preparedness.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with all landlords, property managers, etc. to ensure a direct link is formed for all location needs and any issues are addressed timely.
- Assist in contract negotiations with third‑party vendors for supplies and services not covered by national contracts within the Facility Maintenance Department.
