MEP Engineering - Project Manager

BL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering team, leading a group of engineers and designers in the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects across our numerous market sectors. This position requires focus on resource and workload management, personnel development, and client care.

An ideal candidate must be a licensed professional engineer with minimum 10 years experience in managing multi-discipline projects, coordinating with architects/engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Supervisory experience is required. The position can be based in any of BL's locations:
Meriden, Hartford, Charlotte, or Wilmington.

• Execution of MEP based projects to BL’s expectations for quality, schedule, and profitability
• Plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate the completion of tasks across multiple disciplines on projects of all sizes from conception through completion
• Coordination with external clients and subconsultants
• Participate in business development and proposal process as well as contract negotiations
• Monitor and report to department manager the status of projects, budgets, and work backlog
• Manage a team of multiple staff including designers and/or engineers, providing mentorship and ensuring billable targets are met
• Recruit, develop and retain staff in support of the company's strategic growth plan

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
• 10+ years of MEP Engineering experience, including at least 6 years in project management
• Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated history of successful business development
