The Dedham-Westwood Water District is seeking a Distribution Superintendent to oversee and manage daily operations and development of the distribution system. The position is responsible for managing all distribution‑related system operations, including supervising department staff, short‑ and long‑range infrastructure planning, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
Applicants must hold a Grade 3 Distribution Operators License as required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The position directly reports to the District’s Operations Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other relative field of study, plus 3-5 years’ experience in the direct supervision of water distribution operations; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Current Massachusetts Grade 3 Distribution Operators License as issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Current Massachusetts driver’s license.
