The Warren Housing Authority (WHA) seeks an experienced executive director to lead and manage its programs, properties, and contracts. The WHA owns and operates 101 total units, including 64 state units, consisting of 60 units of ch.667 state-aided elderly/handicapped public housing, and four units of ch. 705, family housing. WHA further administers 7 state MRVP vouchers, 24 federal HCV vouchers, and six Section 8 New Construction vouchers.
RequiredMinimum Qualifications:
- Two years experience in public or private housing, community development, public administration, non-profit administration or a field that demonstrates strong management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of housing management, finances, and maintenance systems in public or private housing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work with people of various socio-economic backgrounds.
- Willingness and interest in working with tenants on a personal level.
- Desirable but not required: certification as a property manager or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization, or certification as an MPHA of an EOHLC-approved Massachusetts Public Housing Administrator Certification Program (must be obtained within the first year of employment).

The annual starting salary ranges from $63,130 to $70,145 per year depending upon experience, certifications, and in accordance with the EOHLC Executive Director Salary Schedule/Calculation worksheet. The work week is 26 hours per week and includes a generous benefit portfolio.
