Boston Food Pantry Manager

As the Boston Food Pantry Manager for the American National Red Cross, you will oversee daily pantry operations to ensure reliable, dignified food access for vulnerable residents. You'll manage inventory, coordinate volunteers, and maintain strong relationships with community partners and donors. This role leads scheduling, intake, and distribution workflows, monitors food safety and compliance, and tracks data for reporting and improvement.

You will collaborate across Red Cross teams to support mission-driven initiatives and respond to emerging community needs with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food pantry operations, ensuring efficient, client-focused service
• Manage inventory, ordering, and food storage to meet safety and quality standards
• Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers and staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and donors
• Coordinate client intake, distribution processes, and appointment systems
• Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and organizational policies
• Track and report program data, outcomes, and service metrics
• Support disaster response and other Red Cross humanitarian initiatives as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams on outreach, communications, and referrals
• Develop and refine workflows to improve service delivery and access
