As the Nurse Practitioner under the general direction of the Chief of Medicine, you will assume full responsibility for the rendering of professional medical services to a panel of patients in an ambulatory care setting. You will work in a collaborative team practice that prioritizes patient-centered care and acts as a mentor and leadership presence to the primary care team.
Primary Responsibilities- Comprehensive, longitudinal clinical and administrative coordination of all care for a specific panel of patients.
- Perform all activities related to examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in a primary care setting, including physical assessment and treatment; supervise care plans, including consultations, referrals, and communications with specialists as appropriate.
- Oversee monitoring and management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses; serve as the care plan author and supervisor, adjusting treatment regimens based on patient response.
- Partner with patients and families to manage care plans.
- Provide consultation regarding hospitalized patients in the panel.
- Provide direction and support to staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; master’s level preferred.
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- National Board Certification.
- Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations.
- Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations.
- Maintains BLS certification and professional certification as appropriate.
- 2+ years of APC experience.
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $ to $. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including, but not limited to, local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
