A growing General Contracting Company is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its team. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll coordination, accounts payable, and weekly billing. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of contract-based billing.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review employee hours and submit payroll information to the payroll specialist
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and vendor bills
• Prepare and process weekly client billing
• Review billing against contract requirements and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Provide general bookkeeping and administrative support as needed

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within the construction/general contracting industry
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct is required
• Experience with AIA contracts and contract-based billing is required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
