DWS Printing & Packaging is seeking a full-time Finishing Machine Operator to join the team in Deer Park, New York. Reporting directly to the Finishing Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for converting post-press products into finished, customer-ready labels and ensuring the highest quality work is delivered to our customers.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.

Job Description . The candidate will:- Operate finishing machines to convert post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
- Set up machines to cut, slit, and rewind labels to specific customer requirements.
- Perform and document quality checks throughout each run to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials needed for the machine and daily operation.
- Inspect equipment for defects and perform routine maintenance duties as necessary.
- Read and follow written job tickets and work instructions, and comprehend verbal direction from the Finishing Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.
- Assist with other production department tasks as required.
- Meet all attendance and performance expectations.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new processes
- Be detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English to interpret job tickets, follow written work instructions and safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Be able to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable assistance.
- Be able to use a hand pallet jack.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset and respect for machinery and equipment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in printing, finishing, or a manufacturing/machine operator role is preferred but not mandatory.
