 The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, parts, and supplies to support manufacturing operations at Modern in Deer Park, NY. This role maintains accurate inventory records, ensures timely availability of materials for production, performs inventory transactions, and assists with cycle counts and stock replenishment. The Stockroom Clerk works closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to support efficient operations, minimize inventory discrepancies, and help prevent production delays while maintaining a safe and organized stockroom environment.

 The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, parts, and supplies to support manufacturing operations at Modern Packaging in Deer Park, NY. This role maintains accurate inventory records, ensures timely availability of materials for production, performs inventory transactions, and assists with cycle counts and stock replenishment. The Stockroom Clerk works closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to support efficient operations, minimize inventory discrepancies, and help prevent production delays while maintaining a safe and organized stockroom environment.

 Job Details:

· Receive, inspect, stock, and issue materials, parts, and supplies in accordance with established procedures.

· Ensure timely follow-up on parts deliveries and communicate regarding shortages, delays, or other delivery issues.

· Respond promptly to production employees' material requests to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity at all times, with particular focus on month-end inventory accuracy.

· Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate variances and prepare discrepancy reports as required.

· Process inventory adjustments and maintain supporting documentation and justifications for all inventory transactions.

· Monitor inventory levels and assist in identifying replenishment needs to prevent stockouts and production disruptions.

· Maximize storage space utilization and maintain the stockroom in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma
 - 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar position
 - Comfortable with computerized tools
 - Well organized and precise
 - Reliable
