Pro Mach, a global leader in packaging line solutions, is hiring a full-time Polisher at its Deer Park, NY facility. This role sits within the Modern Packaging product brand, a Pro Mach division that engineers cup and tray filling systems for the food, beverage, and dairy industries. The polisher is responsible for ensuring that fabricated metal parts meet strict finish standards before they move into final assembly.
Role OverviewModern Packaging depends on skilled metal polishers to prepare machined components for automated filling equipment used by manufacturers worldwide. The polisher works with a variety of hand and bench tools, following documented procedures to deburr and polish parts to specification.
Core Responsibilities- Operate small electric and pneumatic hand and bench tools
- Deburr and polish metal parts using various abrasives and hand tools
- Follow documented work instructions and established procedures
- Stand for extended periods as production demands require
- Collaborate with team members and assist colleagues when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Previous polishing or metal-finishing experience is preferred but not required — Pro Mach will train the right candidate
- Ability to communicate and participate in discussions in English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures
- Capacity to stay organized and perform work safely and methodically
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
- Punctuality and dependability are essential
- Day shift: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays
- Overtime is frequently required
