Asset Protection Coordinator

Summary

Responsible for detecting, deterring and addressing customer and associate activity that could result in loss to the company while ensuring a safe environment for customers, associates and vendors. Promotes compliance with theft prevention, safety and inventory control policies and supports training and awareness initiatives across the store.

• Conduct surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects following company guidelines
• Operate and monitor store security systems including CCTV
• Assist with internal theft investigations under direction of asset protection management
• Monitor facility and store access to deter unauthorized removal of assets
• Complete incident, investigation and audit reports accurately and timely
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and mall security and represent company in related proceedings
• Assist in inventory planning, execution and reconciliation
• Develop and execute shrink action plans and awareness programs with store management

• Several years of retail experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Complete pre-hire requirements including background check
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems preferred
• Ability to stand and walk sales floor for extended periods and lift or move items up to 20 lbs or greater as needed
• Ability to work day or evening hours including weekends and holidays and meet licensing requirements as applicable
