KC Fleet Service Inc is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic and a motivated Helper to join our growing team in Deer Park, NY! • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Assist with parts sourcing, ordering, and inventory management
• Support senior mechanics with repairs and service tasks (Helper role)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards
• Document service records and repair orders accurately

• Experience as a diesel mechanic or in a mechanical helper/apprentice role preferred
• Familiarity with diesel engines, drivetrain systems, and fleet vehicles
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
