Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Project Controller to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with project teams, tightening cost controls, and keeping major capital work on track. In this role, you’ll support sustaining capex reporting, forecasting, accruals, and financial controls across multiple projects, helping leadership make informed decisions with confidence.
Key Responsibilities & Duties- Support project managers with cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Track project spend, progress, and performance against budget and schedule.
- Manage accruals, reversals, and invoice matching.
- Reconcile project cost tools with accounting systems.
- Prepare monthly sustaining capex reports for stakeholders.
- Coordinate monthly accrual and ETC review meetings.
- Monitor project approval processes and budget adherence.
- Analyze variances, trends, and cost-related risks.
- Partner with procurement and contracts on invoice timing and forecasting.
- Support risk, insurance, and tax-related project coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or controlling.
- Background in cost forecasting, cost accounting, or project accounting.
- Experience in budgeting, estimating, and accrual-based accounting.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to reconcile cost data with enterprise accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience in petroleum, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
- Knowledge of project controls and KPI frameworks.
- Familiarity with risk registers and schedule tracking.
- Experience working with contractors and suppliers.
Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities. - Advanced Excel skills, including spreadsheet manipulation and analysis.
