Job Summary
The Scheduler, Non-Routine Maintenance, Tanks & Infrastructure is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrated project and maintenance schedules supporting refinery tank, infrastructure, and non-routine maintenance activities. This individual contributor role works closely with supervisors, execution coordinators, planners, engineers, contractors, and operations personnel to ensure work is effectively planned, scheduled, and executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives.
The position reports to the Non-Routine Maintenance, Infrastructure & Construction Department Scheduling Supervisor and supports multiple other supervisors across a diverse portfolio of projects and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will leverage scheduling expertise, refinery field knowledge, and data analytics to drive schedule performance and execution excellence.
ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling & Planning
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project and maintenance schedules using Primavera P6.
- Build integrated schedules that incorporate engineering, procurement, construction, turnaround, pit stop, and maintenance activities.
- Analyze schedule performance, critical paths, float consumption, resource constraints, and execution risks.
- Coordinate schedule updates with field supervisors, planners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure schedule alignment with refinery priorities, operational constraints, and resource availability.
- Support long-range planning efforts for non-routine maintenance, tank work, and infrastructure projects.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Field Execution Support
- Maintain a working understanding of refinery operations, permitting requirements, construction practices, and maintenance workflows.
- Conduct periodic field walks to validate work progress and schedule assumptions.
- Collaborate with supervision and contractors to identify schedule impacts and develop recovery plans when needed.
- Support execution activities during outages, pit stops, and other critical maintenance events.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and provide timely reporting on deviations.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain schedule performance dashboards utilizing Power BI.
- Analyze schedule data to identify trends, bottlenecks, productivity opportunities, and forecasted impacts.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, risks, and recovery actions.
- Support data-driven decision-making through effective visualizations and reporting tools.
- Ensure schedule and performance data integrity across all assigned work portfolios.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with multiple supervisors to coordinate priorities and scheduling requirements.
- Foster strong working relationships with operations, maintenance, engineering, inspection, project management, and contractor personnel.
- Participate in planning meetings, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and execution readiness reviews.
- Promote teamwork, proactive communication, and alignment across functional groups.
- Provide scheduling expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
- Support and promote refinery safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Incorporate safe work practices and operational constraints into work schedules.
- Participate in pre-job planning activities and execution reviews.
- Support compliance with applicable company standards, refinery requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field preferred; 10 years equivalent industry experience will be considered.
