• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate.
• Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB Para Educator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity.

• Assist the teacher(s) in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including the campus SAIL Program, self-help, behavior management, and instruction.
• Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Posture:
  Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
• Motion:
  Frequent walking.
• Lifting:
  Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds).
• Environment:
  Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements.
• Mental Demands:
  Maintain control under stress.

The district contributes $400 monthly to the cost of employee-only health insurance, which is $175 monthly greater than the state required amount of $225 monthly.

Paraprofessional, Pay Grade 3, 187 Days.

Minimum: $14.31 per hour.

Midpoint: $17.24 per hour.

Compensation based on job-like experience.

Full-Time.
