About the Role: UPS Industrial Services is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Planner to join our safety conscious team. The Offshore Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance, construction, and operational activities on offshore facilities. This role develops detailed work plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure offshore projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed work scopes, job plans, and schedules for offshore maintenance, construction, and operational activities.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and Offshore Supervisors to align work plans with production priorities.
- Prepare manpower forecasts, craft loading plans, and equipment requirements to support offshore execution.
- Develop and maintain offshore schedules using planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Ensure all work plans include required permits, isolation plans, SIMOPS considerations, and safety documentation.
- Support offshore shutdowns, turnarounds, and campaign-based work by developing integrated schedules and execution strategies.
- Track work progress, identify schedule risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and cost overruns.
- Review and incorporate lessons learned from offshore execution to improve future planning accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and offshore safety standards.
- Support logistics planning, including vessel coordination, material staging, and offshore bed space planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or trade background preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in upstream offshore oil & gas operations, maintenance, or construction planning.
- Strong understanding of offshore work execution, SIMOPS, permit-to-work systems, and safety management systems.
- Experience planning maintenance, construction, or capital projects in an offshore environment.
- Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Maximo, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, work packs, and engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Offshore safety training (BOSIET, HUET, or equivalent).
- Experience with offshore turnarounds or major maintenance campaigns.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (BSEE, API, company-specific offshore standards).
- Previous offshore rotation or field exposure preferred.
- Office-based planning role with periodic offshore visits as required.
- May support offshore rotations, shutdowns, or project-specific mobilizations.
- Fast-paced environment requiring coordination across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
