As an Area Rental Manager, you will manage branch rental employees and ultimately be responsible for all aspects of branch rental business. The primary goal is to provide Bearcom customers with short‑term rental services of wireless communication equipment. Rental Managers are expected to be hands‑on in daily operations and in coordinating all aspects of rental business.
Responsibilities- Consult with and take rental orders from clients.
- Coordinate equipment needs to fulfill customers' rental orders.
- Responsible for rental equipment inventory control; work directly with the Dallas Rental Operations Center (ROC) on inventory issues.
- Directly supervise anywhere from 1 to 4 employees (Rental Coordinators and Rental Drivers) on daily tasks, including coordinating rental deliveries and pickup schedules, maximizing staff efforts when in the office (cleaning & testing equipment), and executing daily plans to ensure all aspects of the business are in line with ROC expectations.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding & disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Provide top‑notch customer service to all Bear Com customers, including equipment application troubleshooting and invoicing issues after the rental sale.
- Keep the General Manager involved in pursuit of attaining rental revenue goals.
- Light marketing of Bear Com rental services to local events and happenings in the office territory.
- Plan and install equipment for customers' rental needs.
- Computer programming of rental equipment.
- Ensure that all equipment that goes out to customers exceeds the minimum standard of functionality & cleanliness and is properly branded with Bearcom labels.
- Computer entry and invoicing of rental orders.
- Keep the Branch General Manager abreast of rental business and issues.
- 3 years experience in operations management and/or sales.
- Strong sense of urgency: all issues or problems must be dealt with swiftly, effectively, and efficiently.
- Attention to detail: being precise is imperative to position.
- Ability to work under pressure: rental business is very time‑sensitive; all aspects of the position must be handled professionally and efficiently.
- Strong communication and people skills: manage all daily interactions with customers, branch personnel, and ROC with professionalism.
- Product knowledge: knowledge comes from on‑the‑job training; retaining the knowledge in daily rental experiences is vital.
- Teamwork: facilitate teamwork through General Manager, sales team, other branch office rental coordinators, and ROC.
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process; may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
