Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables- Perform tank and vessel cleaning including cleaning the interiors of storage tanks to remove products or bottoms using shovels, squeegees, scrapers or other means as required.
- Utilize different types of equipment during the tank cleaning process which may include, but not limited to PSI washer, wash down hoses, suctions and discharge hoses, pumps and high-pressure washer.
- Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required and be team oriented.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.
- Pass a Pulmonary Fit Test and wear proper respirator with no limitations.
- Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.
- Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings.
- Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Valid TWIC Card.
Tools, equipment, machinery used:
Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
Working conditions:
Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
Physical effort required:
Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
