CNC Mill Machinist (1st Shift)
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our dynamic machine shop located in Deer Park, TX. Our facility fabricates parts for oil and gas companies, focusing on bearings and seals for rotating equipment. You will work with a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, babbitt, and exotic metals. The role involves CNC milling on both vertical and horizontal machines, utilizing 3, 4, and occasionally 5 axis machines, with a strong emphasis on using Haac controllers.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Work with part dimensions ranging from 1" 36" OD and up to 12" in length.
- Utilize vertical and horizontal milling machines with 3, 4, and 5 axis capabilities.
- Program CNC machines at the workstation, focusing on mill machining.
- Interpret blueprints and machine parts accurately.
- Ensure quality control and precision in machining operations.
Essential Skills
- Over 10 years of experience in CNC Machining.
- Proficiency in mill machining on both vertical and horizontal mills.
- Experience with 3/4 Axis machining and CNC programming at the machine.
- Familiarity with G code and CAM software such as GibbsCAM and MasterCAM.
- Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 5 Axis machining is preferred.
- Previous experience machining babbitt and working in a competing bearing shop.
- Ability to handle split parts.

Work Environment
Our medium-sized shop is clean and air-conditioned, maintaining a steady 72°F to prevent material warping. The shop is organized yet busy, with parts in constant motion. The first shift operates Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Fridays from 6:00 am to Noon, and voluntary half-days on Saturdays, with the potential for mandatory Saturdays if work volume increases. The average workweek is 50 hours.
Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
