We are currently seeking a hands-on Assembly Lead to support daily production operations and provide floor-level leadership within our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for coordinating assembly activities, balancing workloads, maintaining production flow, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while actively participating in assembly work.

The Assembly Lead serves as the primary link between hourly production employees and the Assembly Supervisor, helping drive operational efficiency, employee development, and a culture of safety and accountability.

This position is based in our Deer Park, TX location and is a full-time onsite role working Monday – Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Leadership & Workflow Coordination
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily assembly activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Assign work and balance labor resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities throughout the shift as needed.
  • Communicate production status, staffing needs, and operational issues to the Assembly Supervisor.
  • Ensure completed assemblies are properly staged to support downstream operations.
Hands-On Assembly Support
  • Perform assembly work alongside team members while leading daily operations.
  • Retrieve, stage, and verify materials and components needed for work orders.
  • Ensure team members follow established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Support continuous production flow by resolving day-to-day issues on the floor.
Quality & Safety
  • Inspect materials, webbing, hardware, and components for defects before use.
  • Support in-process quality checks and help prevent nonconforming product.
  • Escalate quality concerns and production issues promptly.
  • Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions or behaviors and report incidents or near misses.
Training & Team Development
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Support cross-training initiatives to improve workforce flexibility.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to assembly team members.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
  • Previous experience leading, training, or directing hourly employees preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced production setting.
Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing production demands.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and use of hands throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular use of hand tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
