I am working with a private equity-backed services platform in South Florida that is scaling deliberately toward a future liquidity event. The company has already folded in multiple acquisitions, has another close to the finish line, and intends to keep buying. This is not a maintenance role. It is a build.

The seat exists because the business has outgrown its current accounting infrastructure.

Leadership wants a more technically grounded Controller who can tighten the close, lead the accounting side of integrations, and stand confidently in front of the CFO, the board, and the sponsor with numbers that hold up.

For the right person, the appeal is simple. You get a respected CFO who knows how to develop people, a clear growth thesis you can directly influence, and a front-row seat to an M&A story that is still being written. You will not be a cost center here. You will be one of the people who determines whether this platform reaches its number.

• Own a faster, cleaner monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and set the standard for accuracy across a multi-entity structure
• Lead the accounting integration of acquired companies, from opening balance sheets and purchase accounting through policy alignment and a standardized chart of accounts
• Deliver board and investor reporting packages that anticipate the next question before it is asked
• Bring discipline to cash, including a rolling 13-week liquidity view that leadership can actually plan around
• Strengthen and document the internal controls a growing, audit-ready business depends on
• Manage external audits across financial statement, tax, insurance, and benefit plan work without the fire drill
• Develop a capable accounting team and build its capacity in step with the company's growth
• Partner with operations to sharpen job costing and project-level financial visibility
• Drive the system and process upgrades that make scale possible rather than painful

• A CPA license is required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time as a Controller or Assistant Controller
• Hands-on M&A integration experience, with working knowledge of purchase accounting and post-close alignment
• Strong command of GAAP, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting
• Solid general ledger expertise, with the ability to bring bolt-on acquisitions onto a common platform
• A track record of building scalable processes and upgrading systems rather than simply maintaining them
• A genuine leader and communicator who develops teams and earns trust across functions
• Comfort operating in a private equity-backed, growth-oriented environment with real deadlines
• Base salary up to $200K plus Bonus
• Potential upside tied to the company's long-term value creation and eventual transaction
