Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Sr. Accountant to prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely. The role involves performing monthly bank reconciliations, completing balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis, and assisting with month-end close activities. You will support accounting leadership with various accounting projects and deliverables, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will allow you to transition into more complex accounting responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.

+ Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

+ Complete balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.

+ Assist with month-end close activities.

+ Support accounting leadership with various accounting projects and deliverables.

+ Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records.

+ Assist with transaction processing and clerical accounting functions as needed.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

+ Provide general accounting support to manage department workload.

Essential Skills

+ Strong understanding of general ledger, balance sheet, and reconciliation.

+ 3+ years of accounting experience.

+ Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

+ Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new environments.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

+ ERP experience required.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

+ SAP experience preferred but not required.

+ Experience supporting multiple stakeholders within an accounting department.

+ Ability to balance both transactional and higher-level accounting responsibilities.

+ Experience working in fast-paced environments.

Work Environment

This position reports to the VP of Finance/Accounting and will be trained by the current accounting manager. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a growing organization focused on process improvements and strengthening financial operations. The work environment is fast-paced, offering the chance to step into a visible role and make an immediate impact. You will work closely with accounting leadership and have the opportunity to transition into a long-term position, making this a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership and variety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
