Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Ascendo Resources has been engaged in a exclusive search here in Broward county. Our client is seeking a Construction General Contractor (GC) Controller who will manage all accounting, job-cost tracking, financial reporting, and cash flow for building projects. Lead a small team of Accountants, AP, AR and admins in a well established firm.

• Job Costing: Track project budgets, review subcontractor billings, and manage change orders.
• Financial Reporting: Produce Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports and month-end financial statements.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project funding.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax laws, union reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise internal accounting staff and assist project managers with financial reviews.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience specifically within general contracting or construction.

  High proficiency in construction ERP systems (such as Sage 300, Vista by Viewpoint, or Procore) and advanced Excel.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) preferred
