Assistant Controller

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join a growing Finance & Accounting team. This is a key leadership role for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and operational leadership.

• Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process
• Oversee the General Ledger Accounting team
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting packages
• Provide oversight and support across Accounts Payable, Commissions, and Claims Billing
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly budget-to-actual reporting
• Develop and maintain cost allocation methodologies
• Analyze financial performance, trends, variances, and cost structures
• Support annual audits, internal controls, and accounting initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency
• Coach and mentor accounting professionals

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Active CPA license required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-company environment
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
• Demonstrated experience leading month-end close
• Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and cost allocation
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
