Job Overview

The Learning Experience is seeking a detail‑oriented Childcare Compliance Specialist to support the licensing, transfer, and sale of childcare centers nationwide. This role plays a critical part in ensuring centers meet all state and federal childcare licensing requirements from construction through opening. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline‑driven, and comfortable working with state agencies, inspections, and compliance documentation. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy structured processes, this role offers direct impact on national growth and center openings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and submit childcare licensing applications for new centers, transfers, and ownership changes
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal childcare licensing regulations
  • Coordinate inspections and site visits with state agencies and internal construction teams
  • Track center licensing progress from build‑out through opening to meet required timelines
  • Serve as the primary liaison with state and local childcare licensing authorities
  • Provide licensing guidance, training, and technical support to franchise owners and internal partners
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align licensing timelines with operations and construction
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance tracking

    Travel up to 30% to support onsite inspections and licensing needs
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with government licensing agencies or regulatory compliance preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to build professional relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable adapting priorities in a fast‑moving environment
  • General familiarity with business entities, compliance processes, or regulatory documentation preferred
