Description The Opportunity
As a Sustainability Specialist Intern
, you will work within our Technical Services team to support projects and initiatives that advance MAPEI’s sustainability goals. You will gain hands-on experience coordinating projects, researching industry trends, developing communications, and supporting programs that promote MAPEI’s sustainable products and practices. This experience may lead to future opportunities in sustainability, project coordination, communications, technical services, or corporate responsibility.
- Support sustainability projects, programs, and promotional initiatives.
- Research industry trends, best practices, standards, and customer expectations.
- Gather and organize sustainability data, product information, and project updates.
- Assist with presentations, reports, communications, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with technical, marketing, product, sales, and operations teams.
- Full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
- Internship duration:
May-August 2027 (12 weeks) - Practical, hands-on learning with MAPEI’s Sustainability team
- Host location:
Deerfield Beach, FL
- Hourly Pay rate up to $23.00 commensurate on role and location
- Housing stipends consideration, available in certain situations
- Mentorship from experienced purchasing and logistics professionals
- Practical experience with BI, reporting, and data visualization
- Permanent full-time job opportunities after graduation
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred)
- Interest in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environmental initiatives
- Strong research, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate projects and manage multiple priorities
- An innovative mindset and strong motivation to learn and success
- Willingness to travel
