Senior Civil Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids for complex civil construction projects.
• Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for clearing, earthwork, grading, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, potable water, irrigation, and paving.
• Utilize Trimble Business Center (TBC), AGTEK, HCSS Heavy Bid, or related estimating software.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, pricing, scheduling, client correspondence, and negotiations.
• Develop accurate cost projections from initial bid through final project budget.
• Independently prioritize and manage estimating activities to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with project teams and other stakeholders throughout the estimating and bidding process.

• 5-10 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil/sitework construction.
• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, paving, grading, and land development.
• Proficiency with TBC or AGTEK for construction takeoffs.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, quantities, and pricing.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
