Overview
Seeking an experienced Buyer to support the procurement of components and materials used in marine-grade and industrial communication systems, including public-address, general-alarm, and telephony equipment.
Responsibilities- Source and purchase electronic/mechanical components and assemblies.
- Review drawings/BOMs and ensure compliance with ABS/USCG and project requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier terms.
- Maintain vendor relationships and track delivery performance.
- Monitor inventory and support production schedules.
- 2-5+ years procurement experience in manufacturing or electronics.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings/BOMs.
- Familiarity with standards-driven industries (ABS, USCG, ISO).
- Strong negotiation, organization, and ERP skills.
Work within a specialized, engineering-focused environment that designs mission-critical communication solutions for marine, industrial, and defense applications.
Desired Skills and Experience- 2-5+ years procurement experience in manufacturing or electronics.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings/BOMs.
- Familiarity with standards-driven industries (ABS, USCG, ISO).
- Strong negotiation, organization, and ERP skills.
