Deric is currently looking for an Electrical Estimator to join its growing team in Florida.
At Deric, we are a multidisciplinary contractor delivering large‑scale projects with a real and lasting impact. Our expertise includes electrical, instrumentation and control and automation, with a strong focus on environmental technologies, water and wastewater infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
As part of our expansion in the United States, we are looking for an experienced, structured, and detail‑oriented professional who is ready to play a key role in our estimating team.
This position is based out of Deerfield Beach and offers a professional and collaborative work environment.
What You’ll Be DoingAs an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role in helping us win work and drive the success of our projects. You’ll work closely with leadership, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop accurate, competitive bids for commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and identify required materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare complete bid packages and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Follow up with clients and general contractors regarding bid status and project opportunities.
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as required.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations personnel during project turnover after award.
- Develop value‑engineering and cost‑saving solutions to improve competitiveness.
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and bid documentation.
- Utilize estimating software and industry tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the continued growth and development of our estimating department.

Requirements- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
- Strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing complete estimates.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and installation methods.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and follow‑up skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend site visits when required.
- Experience with Electrical Bid Manager or similar estimating software.
- Experience with medium‑voltage systems.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and controls.
- Experience estimating water/wastewater, municipal, healthcare, or industrial projects.
