Human Resources & Compliance Specialist (Home Care) Deerfield Beach, Florida
Part-Time (25-30 Hours/Week) | Opportunity for Full-Time Growth
Job Summary:SYNERGY Home Care, a leading provider of home care services in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources & Compliance Specialist to support our growing team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top talent in the home care industry.
Responsibilities:- Recruit, interview, and hire CNAs, HHAs, Homemakers, and Companion Caregivers
- Conduct new hire orientation and employee onboarding
- Review and explain the Employee Handbook, company policies, and workplace expectations
- Maintain AHCA-compliant employee personnel files
- Track caregiver licenses, certifications, CPR, annual in-services, TB screenings, background screenings, driver's licenses, and auto insurance
- Verify licenses and certifications through the Florida Department of Health
- Ensure caregivers remain compliant before accepting assignments
- Maintain confidential employee records
- Conduct personnel file audits and prepare for AHCA surveys
- Support employee relations, coaching, and performance documentation
- Assist with HR projects and office operations as needed
- Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in home care, home health, hospice, or healthcare
- Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations and caregiver credentialing
- Experience recruiting and interviewing caregivers
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with home care software (Axis Care, Well Sky, or similar)
- SHRM or PHR certification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
