Overview
Title: Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL
Duration: 6+ months
Compensation: $65-72/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
SummarySr. Project Manager/Scrum Master reporting to an IT Delivery Manager. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects in alignment with the company project methodology, organizational strategy, commitments and goals. In agile environments, ensure the team adheres to Scrum principles, values and practices and establish an Agile-friendly environment. Accountable for facilitating the Scrum process and delivering value.
This role supports the Modernization program.
- Demonstrate leadership by leading the planning and implementation of a project
- Demonstrate strong organizational, presentation and communication skills
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Establish and coordinate project teams
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Efficiently identify project issues and develop issue resolution action plans
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and adhering to project methodology
- Direct and oversee project team and manage conflicts within group
- Provide guidance and direction to external vendors as applicable
- Ensure quality assurance
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Develop and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project goals in Agile environments
- Guide and coach the team on how to use the Agile framework
- Remove impediments that inhibit the team's productivity and coordinate with others as needed
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure they are understood and followed:
Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective - Act as a Servant Leader to maintain the productivity and function of the team
- Manage the Scrum Board
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Act as Change Agent to help the team implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Guide teams toward higher scrum maturity
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on projects/Scrum teams
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Advanced knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong presence, polish, and exude confidence
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Good problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent servant leadership and change leadership skills
- Excellent planning and coordination skills
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and Azure Dev Ops - Familiar with SDLC concepts
