Inventory Control Manager

Fuse Specialty Appliances & Plumbing is looking for a Inventory Control Manager to lead our purchasing and inventory strategy across the company.

This role is focused on making smarter purchasing decisions, improving product availability, increasing inventory profitability, and ensuring we have the right inventory in the right locations.

• Lead purchasing and inventory strategy across multiple locations.
• Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and demand to make informed buying decisions.
• Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing, vendor discounts, rebates, and other programs that improve margins.
• Improve availability of frequently sold products while avoiding unnecessary overstock.
• Oversee inventory allocation between locations based on sales demand.
• Monitor inventory turns, aging inventory, shortages, and excess stock.
• Build strong vendor relationships and identify opportunities to improve purchasing terms.
• Lead the Purchasing, Allocation, and Reverse Logistics functions.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and leadership to support business needs.
• Manage the Purchasing team, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and employee development.
• Use reporting and data to identify inventory risks and opportunities.

• Experience in purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, retail operations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and financial thinking.
• Experience working with vendors and negotiating purchasing opportunities.
• Strong understanding of inventory turns, sell-through, margins, and inventory planning.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel, inventory systems, and reporting tools.
• Experience in appliances, plumbing, luxury retail, distribution, or a multi-location business is a plus.

Success in this role means improving inventory availability, reducing aging and excess inventory, increasing inventory turns, and using smarter purchasing strategies to drive stronger margins and profitability.
