Slicing Support Operator, Overnight, Fresh Kitchen - Deerfield | Publix Super Markets, Inc.

This position involves assembling and disassembling equipment, operating all slicing equipment in the department, practicing strict sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure food safe products are being manufactured, calculating bin requirements for production, accurately weighing, filling, and folding products, labeling and ensuring accurate inventory of bulk product, documenting equipment inspections and reporting unsafe conditions or damage to product, equipment or facility, accurately completing all paperwork required by the position, assisting operators with daily production operations including operating all slicing equipment and labeling product bins, providing timely and accurate communication to other support areas concerning production needs, and other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include being at least 18 years old, demonstrating excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), demonstrating safe working habits, being able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. frequently, being able to learn and perform all positions, being able to work in a fast-paced environment, having good human relations skills, being able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, having excellent attendance and punctuality, being willing to assist other team members in other areas, being able to push racks that weigh in excess of 1200 lbs.,

being able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time, being able to work efficiently with little or no supervision, understanding Lockout/Tagout compliance requirements, being dependable and possessing good follow up skills, having good verbal and written communication skills, being able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, possessing basic math skills, being able to communicate effectively, showing enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and having a commitment to Publix and our mission.

Hours of work are from 7:00pm to 5:30am; rotating days. The work environment involves temperatures ranging from 35 to 40 degrees, and it is wet and slippery. Pay is weekly with a minimum base pay of $18.10 and a maximum base pay of $25.00. Potential annual base pay ranges from $37,648 to $52,000. A year end bonus is provided to reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year.

Other compensation information includes a $2.00 per hour weekend differential and a $.75 per hour night differential.
