Monday through Friday 1:45 pm – 6:15 pm, 11:45 pm – 6:15 pm on Broward School Early Release Days, and 8:45 am – 5:15 pm on Broward School Employee Planning Days.
Location:
Bright Horizons School in Deerfield Beach, FL 33064.
Pay Rate: $16.32 per hour.

Responsibilities- Observe the school campus and immediately report any suspicious or unsafe activities.
- Communicate the need for emergency protective actions to administrators and authorities.
- Follow instructions from emergency responders and administrators during a crisis.
- Support security and safety measures to promote overall safety of students and staff.
- Practice situational awareness to detect and address dangerous conditions, situations and individuals.
- Report suspicious persons, serious disturbances, hazardous conditions, unsafe conditions, and all serious security matters to immediate supervisor or program director.
- Proactively communicate the need for emergency protective actions or requests for response by public safety personnel when senses indicate action must be taken to protect human life.
- Take prompt action to protect human life, including initiating the standard response protocol.
- Practice positive cultural awareness and demonstrate respect for diversity among students, employees, public safety partners, visitors and the public.
- Participate in ongoing employee development activities and complete required training prior to expiration.
- Maintain and submit accurate records and documentation to appropriate sources in a timely fashion.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality and ethical practices.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of successful work experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to accurately communicate facts and write reports, and communicate in an emergency as required for the position.
- Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
- Prior experience working with students or adolescents.
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or military experience.
