Now Hiring:
Licensed Flex Security Command Center Operator

Location: Deerfield Beach, FL

Pay: $21.50/hour

Sign On Bonus: $250 paid after 90 days with no infractions or violations.

Shift: Must maintain open availability for all shifts, including on‑call coverage as needed, weekends, and holidays required. Minimum of 24 guaranteed hours per week, with the opportunity to work full‑time hours based on operational needs.

The SOC Operator monitors security systems, coordinates emergencies, compiles daily reports, replies to email and phone inquiries, and performs general workplace duties as needed. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast‑paced, growing environment, possess superior communication and multi‑tasking skills, and should be able to make sound decisions through training with limited supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Push/Report all appropriate operational matters in real time directly to the SOC Manager, Director of Operations and members of senior management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Act on all customer service related calls and either resolve them personally or refer issues to the appropriate individuals. Manage communications for emergency and non‑emergency calls‑for‑service, including phone and email workstations. Monitor inboxes, work order service requests and all communication devices; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure.
  • Maintain, establish and review schedules.
  • Assist in the supervision and management of a team of security officers, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
  • Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Coordinate emergency incidents with the Security Team, notify, assist and direct external emergency personnel and the internal Emergency Response Team as necessary.
  • Acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed.
  • Participate in regular training and scenario‑based security drills.
  • Understand and execute emergency SOC protocols and general service SOC protocols.
  • Perform SOC related projects and tasks as requested by the SOC Manager or Director of Operations.
  • Compile daily SOC activities into daily shift reports, ensure detailed shift pass‑downs are issued and followed, compile monthly, quarterly and annual SOC statistical data, and author incident reports as described in SOC protocols.
  • Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned.
Qualifications & Benefits

Education and/or

Experience:

High School diploma or GED required, along with 2 years of satisfactory prior employment as a security officer and 1 year of experience in dispatch or command. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid, up‑to‑date driver’s license and unarmed security license (Class

D) for Florida.

Language

Skills:

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English is essential.

Computer

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).

Other

Qualifications:

Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Maintaining a working telephone number for contact purposes is required.

Physical Demands: The physical demands of this position are contract‑based and must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
