Job Summary
At Miller Electric, you will lead small to mid-size structured cabling projects, managing teams of up to eight technicians and ensuring high‑quality installation of voice, data and fiber optic systems. Responsibilities include installing, terminating, testing and labeling CAT6/CAT6A and fiber cabling, supporting access control, CCTV and audiovisual systems, interpreting blueprints, installing network infrastructure (racks, patch panels, MDF/IDF) and maintaining a strong commitment to job‑site safety while working at heights.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead small to mid‑size projects consisting of teams up to 8 technicians
- Pull, terminate, dress and label CAT6/CAT6A cable
- Pull, terminate, dress and label fiber optic cabling
- Test installed cable with Fluke or similar testers
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret blueprints and system layouts
- Install/support access control, CCTV, audio‑visual and fiber optic systems
- 5+ years field experience in commercial/industrial low voltage (Voice & Data)
- 5+ years field experience with structured cabling
- BICSI certifications required
- Lift and OSHA certifications a plus
- 5+ years field experience in telecom/data networks
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work different shifts as needed
