Underground Utility Foreman

Summary:

We are seeking a Sewer, Water & Drainage Foreman to lead a crew of 1 Pipelayer, 2 Excavator Operators, 1 Tailman and 1 General Laborer. The Foreman will primarily operate the excavator and front end loader, drive the work truck and tow the heavy equipment on a lowboy trailer. All work is in Broward County, FL and no travel to Miami/elsewhere is required.

Majority of the work is on golf courses and large commercial warehouses, with previous work being on projects such as gas stations, banks, Publix's, and apartment complexes. The crews will be installing sewer, water and drainage pipes; sewer pipes are 8-inches in diameter, water piping is 6-10inches in diameter and drainage pipes can be 12-60 inches. Responsibilities
- Install underground piping on an excavator while leading a 5-man crew
- Create timesheets, daily reports, safety sheets, field/incident reports, and maintenance logs for the crew
- Create materials inventory logs
- Maintain a detailed field log
- Set up laser level Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience operating excavators specifically to install pipe underground
- Mud work experience
- Masonry experience such as building inverts, setting tops, etc
- Able to interpret a laser level and grade pole
- Crew leadership experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Clean driving history

Preferred qualifications:

- Front-end loader operating experience
- Experience driving/pulling a trailer
