STORIS is a software company providing solutions to the big-ticket retail marketplace. We have several development squads focused on different business sub-domains within our solution. We are looking for a Software Engineer II who can join our team and work throughout our entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) to help formulate solutions, document software plans, code solutions, and deliver quality code to our QA process.

Responsibilities also include troubleshooting code that isn t performing as expected.

As an SE2, you ll be self-sufficient in your area of the codebase, make steady progress on assigned tasks, and actively collaborate across teams to understand requirements and deliver value to our users.

• 4+ years of Uni Data development experience - You have a proven track record building and maintaining applications in Uni Data and can work independently in at least one large area of a codebase
• Exceptional learning ability - You quickly grasp new codebases, technologies, and business domains, consistently following best practices and knowing when to ask for help to get unblocked
• Strong troubleshooting skills - You can effectively debug problems and work through technical challenges to find solutions
• Career-oriented mindset - You're looking for long-term growth and are eager to find ways to improve through soliciting feedback and demonstrating a growth mindset
• Strong communication skills - You proactively communicate assumptions, get clarification on tasks up front to minimize rework, and effectively collaborate across teams when necessary
• Ability to prioritize and deliver - You complete assigned tasks in a reasonable amount of time, can prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, and avoid getting caught up in unimportant details

• Experience developing software for retailers
• Experience with or knowledge of the furniture industry
• Located near one of our offices in Mount Arlington, NJ or Deerfield Beach, FL

• Participate in technical design of features with guidance
• Write correct and clean code following our stated best practices
• Review pull requests within your areas of knowledge, providing constructive feedback
• Understand how your work fits into larger projects and identify problems with requirements
• Possess empathy for the end user and use that insight to guide your decision-making
• Serve as a resource for others on the team

Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000

Location: Remote (preference for candidates near Mount Arlington, NJ or Deerfield Beach, FL)
