Position
Director, Strategic Payer Partnerships – Chen Med
Job SummaryReporting to the Vice President, Strategic Payer Partnerships, the Director will manage payor relationship and contracting functions, driving financial performance improvements through contract analysis, negotiation, and joint operating committee support.
Responsibilities- Perform ongoing analysis of current and future payor contract terms and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable data for the CFO and COO on payor assessment insights, prioritize opportunities, and orchestrate implementation across the organization.
- Build and maintain cross‑functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to execute payor performance improvement initiatives.
- Own payor contracting functions, including contract approval processes, policy updates, and committee roles.
- Participate in Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meeting organization and management for all payors.
- Ensure project management for implementation of payor improvement initiatives and perform any other duties assigned.
This position requires use of independent judgment.
Qualifications- Broad functional experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, research, or value proposition development.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Proven leadership and execution skills driving results in a matrixed environment.
- Strong strategy, planning, and execution capabilities with commercial and business acumen.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret complex issues and develop clear strategies and policies.
- Effective written and verbal communicator, comfortable presenting to senior audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database/presentation software.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 50% of the time; fluency in English.
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree in a financial discipline with seven (7) plus years of related work experience; or a bachelor’s degree in Business or a financial discipline with twelve (12) plus years of consulting or related work experience.
- Progressive career growth and experience in business and/or strategy development leadership roles.
Pay Range: $181,651 – $259,502 per year. Final compensation may include bonuses or commissions.
