Job Summary

Mgr, Regulatory Labeling & Industry Engagement  a people leader, you will oversee the Regulatory Labeling Team, ensure compliance with North American labeling regulations, and represent Nutrien at industry association activities. This dual‑focused position enhances labeling compliance while engaging the broader regulatory community.

Responsibilities
  • Guide and support the team responsible for the development, maintenance, and compliance of all Nutrien product labels, facilitating team member development.
  • Lead by example, model Nutrien's core values, provide ongoing coaching, and foster autonomy and accountability among employees.
  • Develop and refine internal policies and procedures to ensure labeling compliance for Nutrien products.
  • Improve existing processes to achieve full digitalization and audit tracking for label creation and review.
  • Own and manage large labeling projects, such as compliance with EPA Spanish labeling requirements or major marketing graphic changes.
  • Coordinate self‑assessment and audit activities related to labeling, working closely with Internal Audit and the Regulatory team.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance within labeling operations and complete other duties as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Lead Nutrien's industry engagement strategy for Regulatory & Stewardship in collaboration with Government & Industry Affairs, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry associations (e.g., Crop Life, TFI, AAPFCO), represent Nutrien's interests, and serve on committees as requested.
  • Manage authoring and responses to government or industry association requests for comments, ensuring timely and accurate input.
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate emerging regulations affecting Nutrien's products and operations.
  • Maintain trackers for industry engagement activities and key regulations.
  • Drive compliance projects and reporting requirements from new regulations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Contribute to the regulatory knowledge management system, identifying automation opportunities and tool integration needs.
Qualifications
  • Degree in sciences such as chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, agronomy, or related field; MSc or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of U.S. product registration experience for crop inputs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. labeling requirements and independent proofreading of labels.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team to achieve results.
  • Effective interaction with regulators and trade association committees.
  • Process‑driven with strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Skill in translating complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Capable of exercising discretion and discernment in handling sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated leadership through influence and strategic guidance.
  • Ability to travel 5%‑15% within North America.
  • Canadian or international crop input product registration experience is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range for this role at the Deerfield Corporate office is $110,000–$120,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.
