The Before School Program Counselor

Hours:

Part Time (Seasonal) 6:55-8:25am, Monday - Friday

Pay rate: $25

Essential Functions Include:

* Supervise participants with facilitating program rules, regulations, and safety concerns.

* Work collaboratively with other counselors.

* Organize and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities each week. Activities may include crafts, songs, games, etc.

* Identify and respond appropriately to participant behavior issues.

* Communicate with parents about participant's experiences and report concerns to Program Supervisor.

* Maintain accurate program records including incident reports, and daily attendance.

* Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the Before School Program.

* Assist in the resolution of conflicts and or violations of rules with parents, children or other parties that relate to the program and its operation.

* Participates in daily Before School Program activities to serve as a beneficial role model to participants.

* Strong communication skills

* Enjoys having fun

* Team player

* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time

* Must pass a background check

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

Wage Range: $25 -$30, starting pay at the base of range.
