📢 Hiring:
Manufacturing Engineer (Fabrication/Assembly Required)
📍 Deerfield, IL | 💼 Direct Hire | $65–85k | 🏭 Onsite
Sterling Engineering is partnering with a growing manufacturer to add a Manufacturing Engineer II to the team. This role supports process improvement, production optimization, and hands‑on engineering within a highly engineered environment.
⚠️ Must have experience in a fabrication or assembly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve manufacturing processes (safety, quality, delivery, cost)
- Analyze workflow, labor, and cycle times
- Support Lean/CI initiatives (Gemba, waste reduction, process mapping)
- Lead PFMEA/DFMEA and maintain process documentation
- Drive tooling, equipment, and process improvements
- Provide floor support and training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- 3–6 years manufacturing engineering experience
- Fabrication or assembly background required
- Lean, FMEA/PFMEA experience
- CAD proficiency (Solid Works, AutoCAD, ProE)
