Join a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical leader headquartered in Deerfield, IL as a Senior Tax Analyst specializing in U.S. federal income tax. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly respected tax team within a global organization, where you'll support federal tax compliance, provision, and planning in a fast-paced, regulated industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal income tax returns, including consolidated group filings.
- Support the calculation and documentation of the quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including book-to-tax differences and deferred taxes.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate federal tax compliance.
- Perform research and analysis of federal tax issues and assist with documentation to support tax positions.
- Contribute to IRS audit defense, responding to inquiries and preparing supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for tax process improvements, automation, and risk mitigation.
- Stay current with tax law changes and assess their impact on the business.
What You Bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in U.S. federal tax, ideally in public accounting or a large corporate tax department.
- Solid understanding of corporate income tax regulations and ASC 740.
- Experience with large corporate consolidated returns and related reporting requirements.
- CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software (One Source, Corptax, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
