Role Description The Private Practice Therapist is a full-time hybrid role based in Deerfield, IL, with the option to work remotely for part of the schedule. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing individual and, as appropriate, couples or family therapy; conducting intake assessments; developing treatment plans; and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation. The therapist will coordinate care with other healthcare professionals when needed, follow practice policies and ethical guidelines, and participate in case consultation or supervision.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting practice development activities, attending staff meetings, and staying current with best practices in mental health treatment.
Qualifications
- Licensed or license-eligible mental health clinician (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD) in the state of Illinois.
- Demonstrated 2+ years of experience providing outpatient psychotherapy to diverse client populations across a range of clinical concerns.
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-informed therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to maintain detailed, compliant clinical records and manage caseload efficiently in a private practice setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including use of telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to culturally responsive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory care; experience working with diverse identities is highly beneficial.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field.
