Position: Department Specialist I

Location

Onsite Deerfield

Work Schedule

on-site 5-days a week to begin
-will move to hybrid once they are up to speed

  • Background in HR/Payroll business experience
Core Responsibilities
  • Assist with pre‑and post‑payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies.
  • Generate and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports as required for partner teams.
  • Process daily department mail.
  • Assist with completing employment verifications.
  • Assist with collection and record keeping of over payments.
  • Assist with historical correction data entry for time tracking.
  • Unemployment management.
  • Occupational statistics reporting.
  • Assist with monthly tax & garnishment reconciliation.
  • Assist with payroll accrual reporting.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the shared payroll inbox and partner ticketing management system.
Education & Experience
  • General payroll‑related experience.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Prior HCM system navigational knowledge.
  • Workday knowledge preferred but not required.
Qualifications

Is a bachelor’s degree required? No, could be a student even.

How many years of recent experience does this person need to have? 1-2 year of experience in a professional setting.
